5 out of 5 stars The best hotpads anywhere   January 18, 2008

I've got a drawer with a dozen hot pads, including three kinds of silicon pads, fabric mitts, terry-style pads, and a pair (now two pair) of kitchen grips. I love the kitchen grips. Unlike the silicon pads, these are soft and supple. Unlike the fabric pads, these absorb no liquids. I've used my first pair for more than a year and they are still in great shape. Now that I've got a second pair, I find I don't use any of the others, except sometimes I use a silicon pad as a trivet.

These are really easy to use, keeps things from slipping, and hold up in really high heat. I don't care whether they stay spotless or not, they serve their purpose!

I've tried all kinds of kitchen grips, these are my favorites. I have trouble grasping items, these work fantastic. In addition, I can use them to open jars, turn handles that need tightening, and continue to find uses. I've had no problems cleaning them. Am buying more!

Contrary to the description, you can't just wash these off.
I ended up buying a different brand at Walmart that are less expensive and can be rinsed off and function the same in regards to heat resistence etc.
