I add lemon juice- YUMMY! September 2, 2010 B.S. (Ogdentowne, Utah) Its not that wonderful all on its own with just water, but when i add lemon juice to it, it makes it so yummy!!! i love it!
Not bad! August 24, 2010 SurgiNurse (Richmond, VA) I tried this product for the first time today, and I was pleasantly surprised. It went down pretty smooth and the flavor really isn't too bad. I was a little skeptical before trying it. I had read some reviews on here of people who thought the flavor was horrible, or tasted like grass. Hello... if you read the ingreadients label you will notice wheatgrass, barley, etc. Many people thoroughly enjoy the flavor of wheatgrass, which pretty much tastes like a freshly mowed lawn. That's where my skeptisism comes in, since I'm not a lover of wheatgrass, which I tried once in a juice bar and didn't like it. I thought the flavor combination in this product made it tolerable to drink, especially if the water is very cold, and I am looking forward to seeing if I notice any benefits. If anything I "feel" like I'm doing something healthy for myself.
excellent base for a green smoothie!! July 19, 2010 book club (Andover, MN) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been drinking a green smoothie almost every day because I know for a fact that even though I do eat salads, I know I don't get enough of the greens. As an adult, I can deal with it when I make one that is a little "too green" even for my taste! However, I really couldn't get my 16 year old son (who is in the most need of a better diet in our home) to barely touch even the sweeter ones. So, I made a green smoothie with this as the base and threw in a frozen banana for a sweeter taste. He almost liked it!!!!! I'm telling you, that's saying something! Seriously.....it's the first time I didn't get the big argument! Now I have to try to remember not to go overboard and start adding spinich to it....let him get used to this! I've learned that one of the things that helps us with getting good nutrition is to have a food bioavailable. Certainly having our vegetables in a smoothie or liquid form supports that bioavialability. (Is that even a word??) :-) While, plain, mixed with water, isn't what I would call something I would crave and would stop at a gas station JUST TO GET (I have done that for ice cream sometimes), it wasn't bad. Kind of refreshing. I think it would be better if you used ice water. My water was sort of cold. My one concern is that, as a skeptic of most fake foods (like this) and supplements, we really have no way to know that what they say is in their product is actually IN their product. I wonder how much nutrition is lost in the dehydration process. Well, I'm going to keep getting my son to try this and MAYBE I'll wean him off and onto the real McCoy. Cost wise....try buying one apple at the grocery store. They're about 50-70 cents. I don't know, seems like this isn't so terribly expensive if you are actually getting what they say you're getting.
Wonderful Greens To Go July 18, 2010 Wanda Teele This product is fantastic. It is extremely tasty and provides healthy nourishment. To obtain the number of fruits and veggies defined is great and easy. I mix half a packet, with half a packet of Benefiber, in a 16oz. bottle of diet green tea. I drink two to three bottles per day. I have been drinking it every day for months and my health is improving in many ways. This was my first order from Amazon, because I could not find it locally lately. I will order it again!!! Thanks
