Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Ito En Sencha Shot contains 152 mg per 6.4 fluid ounce of the powerful antioxidant called catechin. They are five times (5X) the amount of catechin tea antioxidants per serving. Sencha is the standard term for quality green tea in Japan, with approximately 80% of all tea produced in Japan being this variety. SEN means to brew, steep, or boil a mixture of medicine or a healing drink. CHA is the Japanese/Chinese word for tea/ since tea was originally used as a medicine, it was called sencha.

5 out of 5 stars Great Green Tea   February 14, 2010
Deirdre Gaffke
I love green teas and have tried many different kinds. Sometimes it's a hassle to make tea at work or on the go, which is why I gave Ito En Sencha Shot a try. I was very happy with it. You can drink it hot or cold. When it is hot it is a smooth, earthy and strong tea. Perfect for mornings. When cold it is about twice as strong and almost tastes like grass. Which I think is good in the afternoon. You will get a boost of energy and get a full feeling after drinking this. It is a wonderful drink and it is really good for you!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent stuff   October 2, 2009
Mr. James A. Bokeno
The first can tastes a little bitter, as it's very strong tea and unsweetened, but the flavor grows on you, and it's a great way to get the benefits of drinking green tea without drinking hot tea.

3 out of 5 stars Bad Packaging Good for Energy   September 15, 2009
Louis R. Caraballo (Brooklyn, NY USA)
Bitter tasting but tea is good for energy. Adding sugar substitute, a little natural or lime seltzer water improves taste and is more refreshing. Horrible packaging (no excuse) and dented cans compels me to find alternative vendors.

4 out of 5 stars Goes down well with my vitamins   August 20, 2009
K. Dionisio (DFW)
This is a good little drink when you're in a hurry in the morning or rushing to go out for the night. I take my vitamins with it in the morning, something more than just a glass of water. The extra Vitamin C is a plus.

The sencha shots are just that, something quick. It has a nice, clean taste, but not exactly something that I'd take my time to "sip and savor". There can be some bitterness, similar to oversteeping tea.

Shipping wasn't too bad. Out of 30 cans, 3 cans were slightly dented.

PROS:
Vitamin C
Green tea benefits
Cute "on the go" size

CONS:
Sometimes a bitter taste
Pricey for the size (but worth it)

5 out of 5 stars The best bottled/canned green tea out there   July 4, 2009
tintintoo (Chicago)
I've tried lots and lots of bottled and canned teas, and I can say with confidence that Sencha Shot is the purest, best-tasting green tea out there. It's full of healthy catechins. And zero sugar. For those who are used to sugary iced teas, the taste may take some getting used to--might even seem bitter--but once you do, you'll never want to return to sugary teas. I feel awake and healthy in the mornings when I've had my can or two of Sencha Shot.
