Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Ito En Sencha Shot contains 152 mg per 6.4 fluid ounce of the powerful antioxidant called catechin. They are five times (5X) the amount of catechin tea antioxidants per serving. Sencha is the standard term for quality green tea in Japan, with approximately 80% of all tea produced in Japan being this variety. SEN means to brew, steep, or boil a mixture of medicine or a healing drink. CHA is the Japanese/Chinese word for tea/ since tea was originally used as a medicine, it was called sencha.

4 out of 5 stars Packs a Punch   July 6, 2010
Belle
There is a whole lotta flavor in this little can! The tea is very strong and has a pronounced flavor. I am used to a sweeter green tea and put a squirt of agave nectar in to mellow the flavor. Probably not what you are supposed to do, but it tasted great after that! This is a nice alternative to traditional energy drinks. The rest of the day after drinking the Sencha Shot I felt alert and well rested. It was not like I had just drank an energy drink, which usually leaves me feeling a little jittery.

5 out of 5 stars I like the way it tastes   July 5, 2010

OK, i know i'm in the minority here but i really like the way it tastes... w/o any sugar. Plus it's really good for you... if you have the money. Also, read today that green tea prevents dental decay so that makes me feel better. Plus you really can't go wrong with zero calories.. or close to that right?

A great way to get a boost in the morning with no crash later. Also very good for you.

5 out of 5 stars For those on the go or have the money to buy this stuff   May 13, 2010

What can I add that hasn't already been said? It is something to get accustomed to but once you have this powerful stuff in a little can for over a week, it'll be hard to go back to those over caffeinated "energy" drinks. Well worth the money you pay and much more healthier for you as well.
If you don't have the time or patience to brew your own tea, this is one of the greatest drinks for those on the go.

If you do have time to brew, I recommend buying the 100 pack Matcha green tea box from Costco, it is from ItoEn as well.

If you feel that its too bitter, try it with some pellegrino or perrier mixed with lemon or whatever fruit you like to add that splash of flavor.

You won't regret purchasing unless you are those people that got some dented cans in their case.

Enjoy and cheers!

5 out of 5 stars Great Green Tea   February 14, 2010

I love green teas and have tried many different kinds. Sometimes it's a hassle to make tea at work or on the go, which is why I gave Ito En Sencha Shot a try. I was very happy with it. You can drink it hot or cold. When it is hot it is a smooth, earthy and strong tea. Perfect for mornings. When cold it is about twice as strong and almost tastes like grass. Which I think is good in the afternoon. You will get a boost of energy and get a full feeling after drinking this. It is a wonderful drink and it is really good for you!
