 Works Like a Charm! January 8, 2009

I have been biting for 20 years and after 1 week of use, I already have longer nails than I've ever had before. The taste is aweful and lingers long after the bite, making it truly awful and helping to kick the habit. It also stays on through hand washing and other daily tasks...I apply every 18 hours or so and have been successful in not biting!

We got the product very quickly, and so far it has really helped! It does wear off fast though, so you had to apply just about every day, but it has been working. My daughter hates the taste and I've seen white on her nails again! I highly recommend this product.

Our son is 2 3/4 years old and would not stop sucking his thumb no matter what. He has had an infection under the nail from sucking, lost the nail a couple times and his skin was so cracked and dry that it bleed. Our pediatrician recommended Mavala Stop. We couldn't find it anywhere locally - thank you Amazon! We started applying the product on a Saturday morning and by lunch he wasn't sucking anymore. He put his thumb in his mouth once or twice and hasn't sucked it since! He made one or two comments that he didn't want it but ever since the first day he is happy to have it put on his thumb. We call it his thumb medicine and he always tells us how his thumb is 'getting better'. This stuff stays on for a long time too - through baths, handwashing and everything. We try to apply it every 3-4 days but sometimes it goes a week and he still doesn't suck his thumb.

I can't believe how well this worked!! My daughter started sucking her thumb in our first sonogram picture and has not stopped since (she is almost 7), until now! After our first application, she stopped instantly!!! We were blown away!!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS!!!!!!

My 6-year-old had a terrible nail biting habit and also chewed the skin around the cuticles and tips of her fingers. Four weeks with this product and she now has beautiful nails and healed up skin. By the second and third week we were applying it every day, sometimes twice a day because she got used to the taste, but by the end of the month, she had broken the habit. You have to be vigilant about applying it consistently but it TOTALLY worked for us and I would say that she had a terrible habit - her fingers were constantly in her mouth. She's so proud of the way her fingers look now and I'm glad to know those germs are not constantly being transmitted to her mouth and through the broken skin on her fingertips. THIS STUFF WORKS!!
