Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Not deliverable and unhelpful   October 30, 2008
Dr. Judd Allen (Burlington, Vermont USA)
I ordered this product with another order for Niacin in a lower dose. The supplier let me know that it was unavailable and was unwilling to offer the lower dose product in greater quantity to fill the order. This lead to a doubling of my shipping costs and made the product unaffordable.

5 out of 5 stars The item is wonderful the sellers are NOT!   October 20, 2008

To Everyone,

The Niacin product is wonderful.
Very beneficial for rasing HDL.
However, the prodcut will RAISE blood sugar levels.
If it does cut back and see a doctor.
Tell your doctor if you are taking this product as it will interact with other medications. It will cause flushing (red face and the hots).
I've found taking with food and/or asprin will reduce the effects of flushing.

Amazon and Vitamin Shoppe,

Caveat! Here's where I have a problem.
Amazon and Vitamin Shoppe are still selling the product but NOW at a higher price than before.

They cancelled my order because I bought them at a lower price and now they are selling higher. Rather than fill my order they just cancelled it.

For this I am going to file a claim against you with the FTC and in Massachusetts with the AG's department of consumers.

This is dishonest and really sleazy. So others beware.
Amazon should NOT have cancelled this order.
What they should have done...is fill my order at the original price and honor my original order request from 09/05/2008. Today is 10/20/2008.

I am on Niacin therapy for my cholestro. I've found it hard to find plain Niacin that's not time released or flush-free in 1000 mg. It's actually hard to find 1000 mg. The first time I ordered I got about 8 bottles....this is a reorder because I couldn't find a better deal anywhere.....in the store or on the web.

5 out of 5 stars It Works!   June 5, 2007

Just finished a 4 month stint of another (not twin labs) "No Flush Niacin." Was taking 6 grams a day and my cholesterol and triglycerides went up! Was taking Twin Labs Regular Niacin- 4 grams a day and my numbers were significantly better. Have since read in a medical journal that the 'No Flush' Niacins are not effective- I'm a believer. Have taken OTC Niacin off and on for 20 years and Twin Labs products seem to do the trick. Thought I would avoid the flush altogether by switching with poor results. The flush does improve with time anyway.
