the product is excellent, the shipping container is terrible. The box is too big and the great product is allowed to bang all over and the tops come off. the packaging for delivery does not do the product justice.

I ordered this hoping that it was the lower fat&air than typical American style Ice Cream, with dense favorful gelato that you can get in shops throughout Italy. What I got is delicious ice cream yes, but I can get that locally. if I let this rise to the temp gelato is at it's best to eat, it would be soupy, not silky smooth. My search for real AUTHENTIC mail-order gelato continues . . .

I had heard of gelato, but had never tried it, so when I saw it was available on Amazon I thought I would give it a shot. They offer free overnight shipping since it's frozen, and it arrived in a styrofoam cooler packed with chunks of dry ice. I've tried plenty of different kinds of ice cream over the years, but this stuff is by far the best I have ever had. Every flavor was great, but my favorites were the dark chocolate and vanilla bean. I will definitely be buying more!

When traveling regularly to CA I would pack some in dry ice and bring it home to Florida where I would amaze friends with its rich delicious flavor and texture. If you get a chance visit their store in Sunnyvale and try the other flavors. But beware, you can become addicted.
