1 out of 5 stars These Apricots Aren't Dried Properly   August 1, 2008
D. Dillon
One star. These Apricots aren't dried all the way through. Some of them were fine, but others were wet inside and tasted off. They gave me a stomach ache and the runs. They were even stored in the refrigerator after opening. I ended up throwing out the rest of the first package. I thought I just had gotten a bad batch. When I went to open the second bag, I noticed that two of the remaining bags (out of the 6 pack) were fat with air - like they could explode eventually. That is bacteria inside giving off their gaseous byproduct. If you've ever seen a can of food that wasn't properly canned, you'll know what I mean. They can rupture. I threw out the remaining bags because Amazon only has a thirty day return policy. Don't waste your money! There are better dried fruits out there that won't make you sick.

5 out of 5 stars moist and tastes great   July 18, 2008

Unlike the conventionally grown dried apricots I bought at the grocery store these apricots are not just sweet but also have a delicious unique flavor I can describe only as oriental - they are from Turkey.

3 out of 5 stars Kinda mixed on this one   April 21, 2008
Joel E. Halfwassen (Phoenix, AZ)
They are not a dry as I like my dried fruit which left me feeling a weird texture in my mouth as I ate these. I personally would not buy them again, but I would offer them to other people. My dislike is aesthetic and not based on product quality.

5 out of 5 stars Delicious, will purchase again!   April 19, 2008

Sweet dried apricots. No chemicals, sulfur, colors, other preservatives. All natural. Perfect for snacks between classes and on the trail. I will definitely purchase again. Highly recommended!

4 out of 5 stars Organic and unsulphured, but not without sacrificing something   January 8, 2008
Michelle Szilagyi (Gregory, MI USA)
I've had the Mariani brand dried apricots, which always seem to be plump and moist; but they are not organic, nor unsulphured. I wanted to try these to get a more natural tasting apricot. The taste of these apricots is not very much different to the brands I can get locally. They taste pretty good. However, the big difference is that many in each package are quite dried out, hard and tough. I have yet to try to reconstitute them with warm water. But I will definitely give that a try when I cook them up to make baby food.
