Low end coffee's usually give you headaches if you drink too much. I never had low-end coffee side affect with Lavazza. It gives caffeine high without side affect.

While any good Italian has a favorite "small-brand" coffee that is only available in her or his neighborhood "bar" of choice, Lavazza is a good standby for those of us on the far side of the Atlantic. Amazon's price on Lavazza -- especially if you use their "subscribe and save" option -- really can't be beat, it's about 2/3 of what most retailers in my area charge. Definitely recommended.

The coffee is fine. But, the first box I received was badly damaged, with four of the eight cans having beed crushed open. The reason: pooly packed with no bubble wrap or protection. I asked for repolacements, which were sent, but again, poorly packed and some cans were damaged. I talked to customer service, who just did not seem to get the fact that they need to pay attention to how they pack and ship. Otherwise fine.

Before I purchased this product, I read one of the reviews which said the Lavazza black can was better. After buying and tasting the Lavazza qualita oro, I have to agree. The black can is better. The qualita oro leaves a bitter aftertaste, and has an acidic quality that doesn't appeal to me. In my opinion, the Lavazza black can of coffee has a better aroma and a smother taste.
