Good Gluten-Free Bread Mix December 14, 2008 VT Girl (Vermont) My husband likes this GF mix. He uses the "white bread" setting on the bread machine, instead of the GF setting. The GF setting did not produce good results.
Good Gluten Free Bread December 12, 2008 Dixie D. Shires (NC) My husband has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. It has been very hard for him because he loves his bread. We have tried several kinds and have found this to be the closest in texture and taste to wheat based breads. Cook it in a bread machine using the light bread setting (if cooked too long the crust can become chewy). Also used dough cycle to make rolls so my husband could have a hamburger bun. Used the bread also to make stuffing. Highly recommend this.
GF Pantry Favorite Sandwich Bread November 22, 2008 Shez My husband and 3 of our 4 kids were recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease. It's been a struggle to feed the crew but discovering this product has been a big help. We actually did a bake off with 3 different brands and no question Gluten-Free Pantry Favorite Sandwich bread was the winner. Once in a while we use their French bread mix for variety. If you're new to this gluten free thing my advice is to buy a bread machine with a delay timer, load it up before you go to bed and when you wake up you'll have a nice, fresh loaf of bread. When it's just made it's great. Later you'll need to toast it. We also make French toast and grilled cheese sandwiches from this and the kids feel like their back to being regular members of the eating world!
wonderful product November 19, 2008 Brenda Bolduc (Winslow, ME USA) my 6 year old daughter was told that she has celiac disease about 6 months ago. She loves this bread. We tried every kind out there until we found this one. Thanks for making my life just a little easier, I didn't know what we were going to do for lunches at school. She asks for a sandwich everyday now.
OMG--tastes like "real" bread November 11, 2008 Linda E. Mason 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
New to the gf diet. After trying the dry packaged stuff at the store, using a recipe from the internet and Bob's Red Mill--this stuff is unbelievable. We are a bread lover family and this bread passed the test with flying colors. My husband's mom is always baking goodies and this tasted just like her homemade bread. Perfect to take to Holiday meals and the gluten crowd wouldn't even know--it's that good. Even if a miracle occurred and we could buy white bread, I'm not sure we would want to--it's that good.:)
