 | | FRS SCIENCE FRS was invented by a team including Dr. Mitsunori Ono, PhD as a fatigue fighting and general health drink. It was then tested and refined by Dr. Ono and Dr. Lan Bo Chen, PhD, who at the time were both researchers at Harvard University. It was later discovered by endurance athletes who found that it boosted and sustained their peak athletic performance while supporting their overall health. Now FRS is used by anyone who wants a healthy and sustained boost of energy. The key ingredient in FRS is Quercetin. (pronounced: KWAIR-suh-ten) Quercetin is a powerful natural antioxidant found in the skins of apples, blueberries, and onions. It unlocks and helps extend your body's own natural energy, by protecting the adrenaline your body naturally creates to give you energy for small daily tasks like staying alert and focused at work as well as helping you get more from your workouts. Experts believe quercetin works by allowing the energy that your body produces to stay active in your system longer, without forcing your body to produce more adrenaline so that you feel more energy for a longer amount of time. All Quercetin isn't the same though. FRS uses only QU995(TM), the highest purity Quercetin available, and combines it with a patented mix of vitamins, metabolic enhancers, and antioxidants to support absorption. | | | | | | | | |
 | | HOW TO USE FRS HEALTHY ENERGY Make FRS part of your day by taking one serving in the morning and one in the early afternoon. Take another serving whenever you need extra energy or 30-40 minutes before exercise as a pre-workout boost. When consumed on a daily basis, FRS helps fight fatigue and provides powerful antioxidant protection to support your overall health. | | | | | | | | | | | | INDEPENDENT STUDIES ON FRS AND QUERCETIN | FRS Boosts Sports Performance Study # 1 - MacRae H. and Mefferd K. 2006 An independent, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study on the effect of FRS on cycling performance in eleven elite cyclists was completed at Pepperdine University in June 2004 and is published in the International Journal of Sports Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism. The results were dramatic - one minute and 31 seconds improvement in a 30 km simulated mountainous time trial. | FRS Enhances Work Performance Study # 2 - Derek E. and Bell M. May 2005 During a six-week study, university employees were asked to perform and report on their daily jobs, which required physical exertion, lifting, repetitive movements and attention to detail. At the end of the study, scientists measured the work performance and found that when the workers took FRS they experienced: |

Acquired taste September 24, 2008 Doc Schreiber (West Coast) The taste is "funny" to say the least. Lemon Lime is so strong, feels like chewing some kind of artificial citrus extract. After a while you might get used to it, but I don't think very many people would love it. I tried the liquid orange form, too. Tastes much better, but is not as portable. Perhaps, the powder is the way to go? Probably the best value of this product is in the fact that it contains quercetin. As far as high vitamin content (each one included is a 100% recommended daily value or greater which you would ingest with normal diet anyway), keep in mind that, typically, excess vitamins are excreted in urin or stool, therefore, the benefit is doubtful (public's ignorance of this is how supplements industry makes billions every year). The "energy buzz"? Don't count on it. Most energy drinks give you buzz with high caffeine and sugar contents. This one might delay the fatigue later in the day, especially after exercise, but "buzz" is not one of the features I've expected.
mdollarbill August 9, 2008 William R. Maynard (Sanford, ME USA) I agree, the chew tabs are a little gritty, but really not bad. I enjoy the taste and want to try the orange next. I also like this product a little better than the powder buecause you can just pop them in your mouth and go. no need to find a bottle of water to mix the powder with. No matter what form you best like FRS, IT WORKS. This product is great and you will not be dissappointed in the results.
Better than the drink at least... July 6, 2008 Trish (Maine, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
...and, that's not saying much. They do seem to help some (and, they seem to be great for my skin), but the taste is a bit hard to tolerate. And, I agree that the L&L is better than the orange. Other than the taste, the texture is not quite palatable. However, compared to the drink mix, I would consider these so yummy (yes, the drink mix, esp. the concentrate, is that bad).
The Green is better than the orange May 28, 2008 OC Mommie (California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are great. You feel good without any jitters or other nasty side effects. The orange is a bit too bitter for me, but I really like the lemon-lime! Some people don't like them I see - to each his own. I didn't like the drink mix, so I find the chews easier to get down. I wonder if they have pills? That would be even better!
Mmm gritty May 14, 2008 Aaron Shoemaker (Los Angeles, CA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Healthy they may be... but they taste like a pixie stick that's been fermented in a cows nether-bits. I think I'll take my chances with those ominous free radicals, thanks.
