Having spent years paying $4 or more at StarBucks, I have discovered an amazing product that makes a fast expresso at home (forget the $400 expresso machine) in just about 1 minute. Drop in the disk, press start and in about one minute your expresso is brewed. Want a secret? re-run the same disk for about a double shot!
I could not be more pleased. I used to make a pot of coffee and waste 1/2 of it. Now I make my choice of coffee/cappichino/latte/mocha quickly and easily at home. Best result...tastes great!

At our house we know it's a good morning when we begin the day with a steaming cup of this rich, full-bodied brew. The flavor is the best - strong yet mellow, pure unadulterated coffee, no unique flavorings. Plus, the aroma is superb.
Now, that would be enough but to have a large 12 oz. cup is another bonus. This is what my significant other refers to as a "real cup of coffee." We use rather heavy 6" tall mugs that keep the coffee hot.
Sunday mornings with the NY Times and a cup of this coffee are the best. Enjoy!

I asked for a Bosch TAS4511UC Tassimo Single-Serve Coffee Brewer, Silk Silver specifically because I like a nice espresso in the morning and didn't want to continue to pay city prices for the privilege.
The machine and the Gevalia Espresso T-Discs have not disappointed. We have a high-end super-automatic espresso maker at home that grinds the beans and brews the espresso. The Tassimo machine does NOT brew espresso that rivals the taste of espresso made with that machine using freshly ground beans. However, it DOES produce a very tasty cup of strong espresso with a very nice crema on top. I've purchased espresso at coffee shops that was not nearly as good as the Tassimo brews. Exactly what I was looking to have at the office. As for the Gevalia Espresso, it is a very drinkable espresso, but tastes a bit acidic. I like a very strong espresso, but this is a bit acrid. The addition of sugar is a must. Surprisingly, the Maxwell House espresso pods that come with the Maxwell House Latte kit brew a somewhat more pleasant espresso. However, the Gevalia is quite drinkable.
I have also tried the Mastro Lorenzo espresso. It had a nice rich flavor, but lacks the "bite" you expect from a good espresso. A bit dull. My absolute favorite so far is the Jacobs espresso that comes packaged with their macchiato kit. Unfortunately, I have not seen it sold separately. I am waiting for the Tassimo and will include my impressions compared to the Gevalia when it arrives. Except for the Maxwell House pods packaged with their latte and cappucino kits, none of these other espressos are currently available on Amazon.

I love my espresso....minus the mess. These are hot and perfect for that first sampling of caffeine in the morning before my big cuppa joe.
They even get a "crema" on top....Tassimo style. And...you can't go wrong with Amazon prices!

This is one of the best Tassimo T-Discs. Highly recommend. It can be mixed with soy milk or regular milk to make great lattes as well.
