2 out of 5 stars Weak in general   November 6, 2008
K. J. Ryan (Virginia, U.S.A.)
Based on the good ratings of this brand, I ordered with the hope of achieving a relatively close facsimile of coffee- or teahouse quality chai at home. Silly me, this stuff isn't it. The directions to prepare hot are: add 2 tablespoons of the stuff to 6 to 8 ounces of hot water. 8 ounces of water fills about 2/3 of a normal coffee cup. Following the directions, this stuff tastes like a cinnamon/clove (minus the chocolate) version of instant coco. Filling a standard coffee cup of water (just testing for those that don't want to measure their liquid), it's pretty weak. By the way, those 2 tablespoons will give you 90 calories, 1.5 saturated fat, 16g of carbohydrates, and 14g of sugar. That's all a bit much for low taste satisfaction in my opinion. More dietary info: it is gluten free and contains milk, honey, and sugar. Container issues: the bottom of the first canister I pulled out had a (at first unnoticeable) gash at the bottom where the metal meets the paper that causes a gram or two of the powder to poof out every time the canister is closed.

Not recommended.

4 out of 5 stars PACIFIC CHAI   June 20, 2008
THIS CHAI IS A VERY STRONG CHAI INDEED. I LOVE STARBUCKS CHAI TEA AND TASTEFULLY SIMPLE - OH MY CHAI. THIS IS REALLY GOOD BUT I DID HAVE TO ADD A BIT OF CREAM TO IT FOR MY TASTE. IT REALLY IS A GOOD CHAI TEA AND A FRACTION OF THE COST OF THE OTHERS I MENTIONED.

5 out of 5 stars Delicious!   May 8, 2008

I fell in love with this product while living in North Carolina, but the local stores stopped carrying it. I never could find more, so I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. Tastes so good when put in the blender with ice and then garnished with a little cinnamon. Perfect for these hot Florida days! And you can't beat the price.

5 out of 5 stars Pacific Chai is the best!   January 12, 2008

I LOVE Pacific Chai mix, both the spice and the vanilla. Just a few heaping tablespoons in a mug with hot water makes my morning complete. I know that sounds like a commercial, but I mean it. Buying it and making it yourself avoids buying similar drinks from Starbucks or Cosi at $3+ a cup! And, ordering Pacific Chai from Amazon and getting free shipping makes it cheaper than getting it from their web site. I highly recommend this product.

This chai latte mix is weak and not creamy. For Starbucks like taste, try the Big Train canister.
