 Good food; doesn't ship well January 12, 2008

Everyone is right about this being a good tasting prepared product. I had this and another Lipton product shipped though and in both cases when you open your box rice will spill out on the floor. These are paper packages that just don't travel well. Keep that in mind, and maybe, shop this on special in your local supermarket.

This is pretty good for a quick side dish. It prepares quickly and is great for after work meal.

So I know this guy, and he's been eating these things at least 3 times a week for over, like, 10 years or more. Well I thought that was sort weird, ya know, at first... But then I found myself stranded at his house one day, forced to join him in a meal of Lipton Cajun Sides, Rice & Beans. And my life has never been the same since. Seriously. Ask any of my friends. A mushrooming explosion of zestful flavor (not actual mushrooms) in your mouth belies the simple and inexpensive 6.4-Ounce package. Did I mention it's Zesty?
But the problem was, Lipton Cajun Sides, Rice & Beans, 6.4-Ounce Packages weren't available in any local stores. My friend (who I didn't think was so weird anymore) had to travel four hours north by motor vehicle just to buy them, year after year. But today we can celebrate our good friends at Amazon.com for making this hidden culinary nugget readily available to all (and for saving my friend a lot of gas money).
And can you guess how I'm going to celebrate??

My boyfriend has been making Lipton Cajun Sides, Rice & Beans (6.4 oz) about 3 times a week for the last 10 years. In order to be his girlfriend, I had to agree to enjoy this meal with him at least once a week. I can honestly say it has kept our relationship interesting, exciting and in good health.

A friend of mine has been making Lipton Cajun Sides, Rice & Beans (6.4 oz) about 3 times a week for the past 10 years.
He recently had me over for dinner and boy, what a treat. Lipton really nailed the ratio of rice to beans on this one, and if you jazz it up with tabasco or a few toasted almonds, its delicious.
I almost felt like I was on "Bourbon Street" or at "Mardis Gras"!
