The absolute best choice in pre-packaged Indian food! December 28, 2008 poor.art.student (Savannah, GA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've tried a variety of Tasty Bite entrees, and this meal is by far my favorite. In other microwavable Indian meals that included paneer, I've found that upon microwaving, the paneer loses it's firmness and often explodes in the microwave. However with Tasty Bite, I've never had this problem. The microwave times are identical to other comparable products, yet with Tasty Bite I've always had meals that tasted just as good as they would coming from an authentic Indian restaurant. If you're thinking about buying pre-packaged, microwavable Indian meals, I wouldn't choose any other brand than Tasty Bite!
I love this entree - it is a godsend December 16, 2008 Kathy Sage (Michigan, USA) I am so grateful for these meals. The peas paneer tastes good and is mild enough so I can taste the other flavors, not be overwhelmed with heat. In fact, I'd like it milder than it is. The other one that tastes good without too much heat is the sprouts with chick peas entree. I hope they never make them spicier or I couldn't eat them. The other ones cause great indigestion for me and no way can I eat them. They are gluten free and pretty much the only thing I take when I travel since I can't eat restaurant food since I'm gluten intolerant. They got me through a whole week at a conference. They don't need refrigeration, so you can carry them and store them, but still have a regular hot meal. I eat them at work all the time, too.
I'd say "less spicy" rather than "bland" May 3, 2008 jpr (CO, USA) This flavor is one of the least spicy of the bunch, which is kind of a nice break sometimes. It does still have some flavor though. I'll buy a case of these every so often, especially when they're on sale.
Mediocre comfort food January 16, 2008 Tired of law school I got home today from a long day of work and was trying to figure out what to make for dinner, when I noticed a box from amazon. It was the tasty bite meals, and I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say, it hit the spot. Not because it was delicious, in fact, it actually didn't taste like much of anything (rather bland). But it was warm, tasted fresh, and LOOKED really good. (It looks better than it tastes). So while I wouldn't cook it for company, it was a fairly healthy meal (9 WW points) and beat a microwave dinner.
Delish. October 4, 2007 K. Kitto (Oak Park, IL USA) My fave Tasty Bite product. Yes, it's mild, but mild doesn't mean lacking flavour. Awesome.
