There are many benefits to drinking Angel Milk. It is an all-natural, chemical-free, delicious way to stay healthy while you're pregnant and nursing. Each serving contains six grams of protein, 16 essential vitamins and minerals, inulin, and is fortified with nourishing herbal extracts. What is inulin? This naturally occurring element is found in edible plants and fruits. It promotes good digestive health by helping create a "friendly bacteria" environment in the mother's digestive tract. Another great addition found in every scoop of Angel Milk is the proprietary Herbal Blend. Herbal extracts have been used for hundreds of years by women during pregnancy and breast-feeding, and Angel Milk has created a special blend of herbs to help nourish mothers during this special time. Angel Milk recommends up to six eight-ounce servings a day, and, although specially formulated for pregnant and nursing mothers, this mix can safely be consumed by anyone. It is also important to note that Angel Milk is an enhancement to your daily vitamin and overall health routine, and it is not intended to replace prenatal vitamins or be used as a meal replacement. Yummy! October 9, 2008 B. S. Ray (Idaho, USA) This is a great product. I am a nursing mommy and have braces. Whenever I get my braces tightened I'm unable to eat much of anything because I'm in so much pain. I had been looking for some type of shake powder that would be nutritional as well as fill me up. Angel Milk is amazing. The only reason I'm not giving this one a 5 is simply because I like Angel Milk's soy based better than the brown rice based. It's very tasty though. I enjoy adding a little sugar free vanilla sypup and blending it with some ice and the milk. SO GOOD! Enjoy
tastes like a latte shake- But a little gritty! May 21, 2008 Cutie pie (Cleveland, TN USA) It does taste pretty good, and I do like the nutritional value, but I don't like that they use fructose. I want to stay away from that as much as possible, other than that it is easy to make and it tastes great!!
Great, but wish it were organic March 27, 2008 Lauren, "Will's Mommy" (USA) This is a great drink--very delicioius and nutritious. However, I think that there are a couple of important drawbacks. First, for the price, it should be 100% organic. It's important for a pregnant woman or nursing mother to give her baby the purest from the very start, meaning foods without potentially harmful pesticides. Fortunately I don't believe lots of pesticides/herbicides are typically used in the cultivation of brown rice and some of the herbs used in this product. Second, this product contains too much preformed vitamin A, also known as vitamin A palmitate. This is the unsafe form of vitamin A. I have read a lot about consuming too much preformed vitamin A (palmitate, retinol, etc.) during pregnancy; it can cause certain birth defects. Plus, you get a lot of this type of vitamin A in meat and dairy. I don't think that vitamin A palmitate is as much of a concern for me now when I'm nursing, but it was for me during my pregnancy. Angel Milk needs to switch it out with beta carotene, which your body converts to vitamin A as it needs it. Beta carotene is the safe form of vitamin A. You may want to research it for yourself. Third, I would like to see two versions: one just formulated just for pregnant women and one just for nursing women, as their needs are actually different. Nursing women could use certain herbs that promote lactation as well as oatmeal, which helps increase lactation. Overall, I think it's a good product. It is a very good idea. I love the caramel latte flavor.
Angel Milk is amazing!!!! January 18, 2008 Maria (Orange County, CA) I have been drinking Angel Milk everyday since the 2nd month of my pregnancy and still drink it daily 4 months after because I'm breastfeeding. It is delicious and along with eating right and taking care of myself, it has helped me and my baby both be healthy and happy. When I had morning sickness and my prenatals were making me sick, I started taking my vitamins with my Angel Milk shake and it helped them stay down. What is really good is mixing the chocolate and caramel flavors, one scoop of each..a mocha caramel latte. Yummy!!!!
