 Not what Expected But Good December 21, 2008

I have never tried Bamboo before and was curious, it was not what I excpected, I was pleasently surprised at the flavor Bamboo has [somewhat like spinich] and not soft at all but more like Asperagus/Broccoli type of hardness, yet it was good once you got over your conceptions of what you THINK Bamboo should taste like...I liked it in the end....and that it's very nutrious and easy to fix is an added bonus. I just wished they'd include instructions on how to prepare it which they don't so it becomes a trial and error and a waste if you don't quess right, or have never cooked before either.

This had a very miled flavor. Neither my husbund or I liked without adding something to it. There was no cooking instrcutions which meant I had to guess. Boiled like white rice for 30 minutes came out good. I would not buy again.

A MUST BUY for anyone who enjoys FLAVORFUL rice. Very fragrant alone, yet mild, not distracting. Almost 'meaty' in texture. Nothing like regular rice. Great protien, low carb, low fat. Actually, addicting.
