Goodbye Quaker, Hello MCCann's !!! I LOVE THIS STUFF October 28, 2008

While the nutritional facts and figures for both McCann's and Quaker are virtually the same (comparing the Apple and Cinnamon), there is little comparison when it comes to flavor and the amount of delicious apple chunks.
If you go to McCann's and love your oatmeal like I do -- the Quaker guy is going to play second fiddle.
Amazon offers a great deal on their pack of 6 and Amazon seems to be the only place I can find it.
I love the stuff. ;-)

I'd never tried McCANN's oatmeal before, but I decided to give it a try because I've really enjoyed other brands of apple cinnamon oatmeal. It's safe to say this is some of the tastiest oatmeal I've ever had. The cinnamon flavor isn't overwhelming, and the oatmeal has just the right amount of sweetness. The oatmeal flakes are smaller than some other brands, and have a creamy consistency that I really liked. Overall, this stuff is terrific. Give it a try if you like flavored oatmeal.

This is really the best of all we've tried.It's healthy and tastes delicious! The convenience of getting it from Amazon.com and having it in the house all the time is great, especially with rising gas prices.

If you haven't tried this yet, you are missing out on the beast breakfast this side of Ireland! I liked the American-style oatmeal (rolled oats) but I LOVE steel-cut oatmeal.
I found this by accident at a local health food store. However, they only offered the can of regular oatmeal that takes a long time to cook, or the quick oats that you need to measure out in a cup. None of the local stores carried these easy to use one serving pouches.
Many doctors these days prescribe oatmeal as a natural way to reduce your cholesterol a few notches, so if you don't like regular rolled oatmeal, TRY THIS! I think you'll love it.
As an added plus, the apple and cinnamon is much better than these artificially flavored American variety cereals. It tastes like REAL apples are in the oatmeal.
Five stars and good health! My favorite flavor is McCann's Instant Irish Oatmeal, Maple & Brown Sugar, 10-Count Boxes (Pack of 6). We are lucky that Amazon stocks the complete line of McCann's products as they could be difficult to get otherwise and the price here is great too!

I bought this to have instant oatmeal packets I could heat up at work. The taste is excellent - the oats are hearty and the apple bits and cinnamon are delicious. Better than the other types I tried, which is why I ordered a whole case! (It's also a lot better than eating out in the morning.) This is part of my plan to drop some weight and get in better shape.
Good stuff.
