what a great cereal! Really nice not to have all the sugar at the bottom of the box when you are done. I love it with Yogurt.

I was thrilled to find this on Amazon, I was hooked on this when I went to London. Fast delivery!

5 out of 5 stars It is quite literally the only cereal I eat   June 25, 2008

I do not remember when I first encountered this cereal. It is made by Weatabix Canada, but its origins are, I believe, English. I used to eat it quite often as a grad student in the U.K. in the mid-nineties. It is quite tasty and not too sweet. If you want no sweetness at all, they also make a version with no sugar. If you subscribe to this product, like I do, the value is also quite good. You would pay about the same price per unit weight in a Canadian grocery store. This is the only place I know to buy this cereal. So, if you buy some, you will personally be doing me a service; since I currently know of no other U.S. source.

5 out of 5 stars My Favourite Cereal   June 9, 2008
Susan Kelly (Metairie, LA, USA)
Alpen has long been my favourite cereal. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon after missing it for so long. It's a muesli with flaked grains and raisins. So if you want to eat healthy but don't like crunchy granola, like me, this one's for you. Pour on the milk leave it to soak in for 1-2 mins. then eat it. Too long its mushy, too quick its hard. I love it. Give it a try!

5 out of 5 stars love the cereal, it's on the shelves in LA area   May 23, 2008

I grew up eating this cereal in the '70s and '80s (it was available in our grocery store in NJ) but then after we moved away, we couldn't find it (pre-internet days!). I had been living in SoCal for a few years and it was sold by our local grocery there. I was disappointed to see my local grocer in Phoenix where we just moved to doesn't carry it, so I might have to buy from Amazon. I love the taste and texture of this cereal. It's a bit sweet, but not overly so, and it doesn't get soggy in milk.
