Packed in OIL. February 10, 2008 JessicaTheKat (Richmond, VA USA) 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
The tuna is packed in oil. If you like oily and spicy food than you will probably like this. I have not eaten tuna packed in oil since I was a child and I did not like it then. I know many folks like the oil version more than the water packed so I am sure it is just a matter of taste preference. My hubby loves chili pepper but when he tasted this tuna he instantly spit it out. I suspect he objected most to the oil but he is not the type to try and figure out why he dislikes something. It also has a stronger fishy aroma than USA water packed tuna. I will eat the reminder but not buy again. I now drain off as much oil as I can then add a tiny bit of mayo and pickle relish. This helps reduce the fishy smell and makes it taste more like a spicy tuna salad. I hope this helps someone decide if it will be tasty to them.

If you like tuna, you will love this gourmet tuna. I have tried all and they are great. Tuna chili is my favorite...what a great snack. The price is good for this product
Tuna with Heat. November 6, 2007 Claxon,Bill A somewhat acquired taste but unique and hot and used on crisp and light Wasa bread ,quite terrific. Thanks Amazon, you are expanding my rather bumpkin food palette.
Super Tuna - Healthful, Savory Mouth-Watering Tuna Right From the Can! October 26, 2007 Honest Reviewer (North Carolina) Along with G'Day Tuna Mild Indian Curry flavor - this is one of my favorite products. Mouth-watering and savory -right out of the can - requires absolutely nothing else. If you haven't tried this, you are missing a real treat.

My favorite tuna. It's not big chunks, but it small flakes but it doesn't taste like the tuna you get in the supermarket. Very nice and flavorful. You don't need anything else to dress it up. I would call it close to different types of tuna salad in a can. That is what you can expect from it. The only bad thing I have found is the spice is inconsistent at times. One can will be very hot and the next not so much. Great to mix into noodles or just eat with crackers. I also love it for work to eat. It does not have the overpowering smell of tuna you get sometimes. Your whole office won't know you had tuna for lunch. :)
