the chocolate is good.but the soynut not crazy about it's texture.it feels like you are eating chocolate covered rocks.

I was pleasantly surprised by this South Beach Chocolate-covered Soynut snack. My immediate impression was that this is the healthier, slightly-milder clone of chocolate-covered espresso beans, which I love (up until I start shaking from the caffiene... a problem one doesn't experience with this soy snack!).
I honestly couldn't tell that these things were soybeans unless I really, really focused beyond the chocolate. The dark chocolate is really the pronounced flavor of the snack, and the soybean provides the very enjoyable crunch.
I also thought that the approximately 100-calorie packages were convenient. I'm a little hefty around the midsection :^0 and found these to be a great treat if you're still an hour away from dinnertime. 100 calories is an amount that one can justify compared to other calorie-bombs that one might decide upon if they just can't wait that last hour. I also wouldn't feel too guilty enjoying a bag before bed, which is where my dieting problems really happen. Imagine having a bag of doritoes nearby instead! Woof. The chocolate burst in a bag of these, I think, gives you a good shot at avoiding other temptations.
If you happen to see these in the market- as right now it seems they are not yet available on Amazon- pick up a box and put a bag in your lunch every day for a week. See what you think... especially the next week if they aren't in your bag anymore! I enjoyed them as did my wife, and I would certainly try them again.

There are a multitude of reviews for this product so I won't try to repeat what's already been said many times. I am not a typical fan of most South Beach products that I've tried. The taste of most of their products is average to bland. I'm typically never left satisified. This product was no expection. The soy gave a crunch, but with the fat and sugar content of the choclate coating, the 'healthful food snack" benefits is pretty much thrown out the window. A carob coating would have been preferable to obtain the "objective" of this product. I don't see much statistical difference in eating these to my preferred peanut M&M's, which I had a yearning for after I tried one pack.

Upon receiving the multi-pack sample of this product, I had several members of my family (pre-teens, teens, and adults) try it. Many were initially a bit skeptical about the whole "soy-nut" thing. (Although the "dark chocolate" was an easy sell!)
HOWEVER, all were pleasantly surprised. Without exception, everyone thoroughly enjoyed this product. It is a wonderful snack, especially for those of us who could stand to shed a few pounds.
Tasty -- and nutritious. What more could one want?

South Beach Living Snack Packs Delights of Dark Chocolate Covered Soynuts are a delicious guilt free snack with each package at only 100 calories! This snack is especially great for all us dark chocolate fans. For those of us who have a sweet tooth, especially when avoiding sweets, this is a great little snack. The soy nut provides enough of a meaty filling to satisfy. The soy nut also supplies a pleasing crunchy texture. The dark chocolate is an excellent choice to cover the soy nut. The dark chocolate is strong but not too bitter. The chocolate flavor is dominant and that is really what you taste. Totally satisfying.
Don't be alarmed over the sweeteners in the product and the fat content. All packaged goods have sweeteners and preservatives, and the fat with soy nuts is mostly the "good fat" that doctors recommed. The small size of the 100 calorie packs are perfect for those looking for portion control. As long as you have the discipline to only have one pack of these, they can be a healthy snack. Once again, nuts tend to be filling so I was surprised to find that even with these small packs it felt like one was enough for me.
The only little criticism that I can make is regarding the small number of packs in each box. Because the portions are so small, they could have definitely made larger versions with twice as many packs.
