Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great tasting pasta   August 24, 2008
Nathan Beauchamp (Oak Park, IL USA)
DeCecco brand pasta is excellent, regardless of what type of noodles you're buying. They all have lovely texture, especially is you like your pasta 'al dente' or slightly firm. The noodles are especially good with lighter sauces that allow you to taste the pasta. It is in dishes like that where you can really tell the difference between DeCecco and other, lesser pastas.

DeCecco noodles do tend to stick a bit, and so I've started adding a tablespoon of olive oil to the water as it boils. This takes care of the issue.

As an aside, you cannot expect pasta to turn out well if you cook it poorly. Make sure your water has reached a robust boil before you throw in the noodles. Also, use a large stock pot if you have one, because the water will stay hotter when the pasta is introduced if there is a larger quantity of it to begin with.
