Great but... September 25, 2008 Mr. Paul Ng (Naperville,IL US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Love this stuff! Pre rinsed is great. As you probably know, rinsing the tiny grain is tedious. The only problem I have is with the higher cost. The organic 365 brand from Whole Food is a lot cheaper but you have to rinse. Oh well...
Great addition to any diet! September 2, 2008 P. Gray (Austin, Tx) Quinoa has a nutty flavor when cooked that goes with any dish just like rice does. There is virtually no prep time involved in this quick side dish and is one of the only sources of complete protein found on the planet. Wonderful to cook, eat and serve. Often described as a mix between couscous and rice. Enjoy!
Delicious! Best Quinoa out there September 1, 2008 Drew Lankford (Montgomery) Big thumbs up on this stuff. I read about it in men's health and got a small sample bag of another brand from a local health store. I had to wash the stuff before cooking it. I really enjoyed it and it's ability to go with anything so I ordered the 4 pack from red mill. Pre-washed!! Thank you bob! Rather than share lots of recipe's I'll just say that cooking this stuff in chicken or beef broth is sooo much better than water. Adding varous spices, butter, etc really brings out more flavor.
economical August 30, 2008 Jeanie's Corner Kitchen (Mansfield Ohio) The price is right and taste good, is organic and already rinsed, saving a step in preparation.
Good stuff... August 28, 2008 M. Emerson (Small Town Iowa, United States) I have to say Id never heard of quinoa until I read about it being an excellent source of slow digesting carbs in Muscle & Fitness. So I bought some and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like the taste. I tend to cook it in a steamer just how I would cook brown rice and it works fine. Overall its just food so I wont get too thrilled about it and rave about it in this review but if you want a good tasting and healthy food I would recommend this product.
