Great sauce November 29, 2008 J. Tancredi (Phoenix, AZ) My mom has been making pasta with this for years - ever since I can remember. It is a really great sauce on its own with a little red pepper and parmesean. I also use it as a base for pasta dishes with shrimp or scallops and doctor it up a little bit with some fresh parsley and cheese. It is a great deal since the cost per can is nearly half compared with my local grocery. I will definitely buy this again as it has become a pantry staple for me.
severely dented cans June 2, 2008 bubbie (arizona) About half of this case contained severely dented cans. When I was a kid, they always said you shouldn't consume goods from very dented cans; stores would sell them at a huge discount. Imagine my surprise when I went to put away the clam sauce- about one half were very dented! The point I'd like to stress is that they were well packed: they were in a cardboard container, with very heavy duty shrink-wrap holding them in place. I am sure that they were not damaged in shipment. I believe that Progresso purposefully threw in a bunch of cans they knew no store would accept. I'll never buy canned goods from Amazon again. This is disgraceful.
Very big disappointment February 28, 2008 retired early (mesa, az) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Yes, you heard what I said. Ever since General Mills took over this Company, The flavor and quality went down hill. Leave it to American Business types , to take over good companies, and dilute their quality just to make a buck. Horray, for the wealthy .
nice flavor! November 7, 2007 R. horvat (Vancouver, B.C. Canada) but the clam pieces are small, few, & tough. Colavita White Clam Sauce also has a nice flavor, but not as good as the Progresso Seafood White Clam Sauce. if you want a ton of very tender clams buy the Colavita White Clam Sauce and add the juice from the Progresso Seafood White Clam Sauce.

This product is excellent. Just boil some spagetti and microwave the clam sauce in a glass covered container and you have dinner in 15 minutes Be sure to cover the clam sauce in the microwave, or it explodes on you and makes a mess. Love the product
