Richest bean in fiber August 27, 2008

I have yet try to this brand, but all I know is that lentils are the richest bean in fiber. Here is list of the fiber content in 1/2 cup of the following beans:
1. lentils 8 grams
2. black beans 7.5 grams
3. pinto beans 7.5 grams
4. kidney beans 4.5 grams
5. chickpeas 4 grams
It's probably true that canned beans do lose some of their fiber content but not by very much. And it sure beats the hassle of cooking.
