1 out of 5 stars Not the original Oi Ocha sold in Japan   August 19, 2008

This product is not the Oi Ocha product that is sold in Japan. This product appears to be the Koi Ocha product repackaged as Oi Ocha for the USA. I have uploaded the picture to compare this product with the original Oi Ocha. Though I don't have Koi Ocha with me at the moment to verify that this is in fact the repackaged Koi Ocha.

Koi Ocha (this product) is not a bad product, but it's not the normal green tea that is "Japan's #1 Green Tea" as claimed on package of this product. It has taste that seem to be cross between oolong tea and green tea. It's less mild and more bitter than the original Oi Ocha, and it has less depth with cheap taste.

I'm very dissapointed with how Ito-en is misrepresenting their own product and won't be buying these again.

5 out of 5 stars the best mass-market iced green tea   July 13, 2008

I've tried all the bottled iced teas available, and this is the one I like best. No sugar/sweeteners. No floral/fruit flavors. Just perfectly brewed green (sencha?) tea taste. Perfect for a hot, humid day in Seattle. Or any day you need a cool drink.

5 out of 5 stars Japanese Green Tea   July 1, 2008

Very good! I love green tea, and this is my favorite. At about 2 dollars per bottle, the price isn't to bad. The store I work in sells it for 3.69 per bottle(and it sells quickly). Recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Delicious - Love it!   June 5, 2008

Why oh why drink sugar-laden sodas or even aspartame-filled diet drinks when you can drink something that's tastey and natural as well as good for you? That's what this stuff is - good green tea in a bottle that is ready-to-drink. It's absolutely great when cold. (The taste is nutty and mild.) Best of all, it has ZERO calories. But to be honest, I don't drink this because of the lack of calories. I drink it because it tastes GOOD. Buy some and see why it's getting very popular - even among those who aren't dieting.
