5 out of 5 stars Best Cream Out there   July 10, 2008

I have tried almost every shaving cream out there. Mind you, I only believe in a shave with a Badger brush, none of that Foaming out of the can stuff. I have tried the Truefitt & Hill, Proraso, Billy Jealousy and a bunch of others. This stuff is the best. I have very sensitive skin and shaving with this stuff is just a pure joy. The razor just glides over the skin, you don't even feel it. Def a great buy.

I also disagree with the user that says its not for sensitive skin. My skin is extremely sensitive, and I have had excellent results with Musgo Real. I prefer the smell of 'Proraso' but Musgo Real works better for me (mind you those are the only two quality shave creams I have tried). Because I am prone to nicks, it takes me a very long time to shave since I shave very carefully; other creams can sometimes dry out on my face during this time, but Musgo Real has not dried out on me to date. To open the tube pierce the top with the pointy thing on the cap, be careful not to squeeze the tube while doing this or you might lose some product. Musgo Real also makes a pre-shave soap called 'glyce' which cleans my stubble areas before a shave, I prefer this pre-shave treatment to oil because I also have oily skin. There is a blogger on the internet that said he is afraid the lanolin in Musgo Real might stick to his shave brush, but I have had not such problems, and as far as my razor is concerned I find it easier to clean after shaving with Musgo Real, compared with other creams.

5 out of 5 stars I Love This Stuff Too!!!   October 29, 2007

I use both Proraso and Musgo. While I am slightly partial to Proraso, Musgo is an excellent product in its own right. It lathers well (I use a shaving brush) and imo has an even better scent that Proraso which I find to be just a tad too "perfumy"(if that's a word). Musgo has a really pleasant "grassy" scent as some others have said. Like Proraso, I have found that I have gotten the best shaves in my life since I have started using Musgo. It buries every other commercial shaving foam or gel out there. I alternate between the two.

Start using Musgo, and you'll never want to use anything else, except Proraso perhaps. As a newbie to gourmet shaving (I still use cartridge razors), Musgo has worked brilliantly for me, especially when you consider that I shave my head along with my face and neck and have a tough beard.

Spoil yourself. Try Musgo Real.

Btw, for the user who said it burned his skin. It will dry out your skin if you don't use a shaving brush. I didn't fully appreciate it until I started applying it with a shaving brush. Don't use your hands as it doesn't lather up well when you do that.

5 out of 5 stars Simply the best!   April 24, 2007

I couldn't disagree more with the reviewer who said this is not for sensitive skin. I have very sensitive skin and started using this product over 6 years ago. If you look at the ingredients in most store bought shave creams and gels, you will see lots of acids (stearic acid, etc.). I can only use those for about two days before my face is so raw and burned that it hurts to shave. There is nothing in this product like that. Just lanolin and glycerin. I have tried other products such as shave soaps and other shaving creams designed for a brush, but nothing comes close. Besides, using the brush in the morning is invigorating.

I have very thick, curly facial hair and sensitive skin. I am a fan of "wet shaving" (lots of water, badger-hair shave brush, quality razor) and love this shaving cream. The eucalyptus leaves your face feeling very fresh throughout the shave as well as afterwards. Apply an alcohol-based aftershave and you'll feel invigorated for the rest of the morning.
